First Transit Announcements

Full-time and Part-time Bus Drivers

First Transit is currently hiring full-time and part-time bus drivers for PRTC commuter and local buses.

Bus drivers will receive paid training and be eligible for attendance and safety bonuses. Successful candidates will hold a valid driver's license in their state of residence, have a minimum of three years of driving experience, and have no more than two moving violations within the last 36 months. The position also requires the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Maintenance Technicians

First Transit is seeking experienced mechanics with a CDL B. Transit or Heavy Truck ASE Certification required. Selected candidates must have their own tools and a background in vehicle repair (buses, trucks or cars). Experience with HVAC and electrical systems is a plus. All candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
